community reinforcement approach) to empower young people to address
their substance use and change their lifestyle.? ?Crinan Youth
Project is seeking to employ skilled, dynamic workers for the
following post:?
OUTREACH WORKER POST ? EVENING SERVICE ? PART-TIME
The person we are seeking will be enthusiastic, highly motivated and
will have the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a
community based drug/alcohol project.?
* Out of hours/ evening work and street outreach work
* Assessments with young people
* Careplanning/keyworking
* Referrals to other agencies/treatment programmes
* Devising and delivering programmes for groups of young people in
treatment and in recovery from drug dependency.
* Individual and group work ? in-house and outreach
* Creating a supportive environment
* Maintaining records ? computerised and report writing
* Advocacy work
ESSENTIAL
A Professionally endorsed qualification in Youth and Community work or
Addiction Studies or An equivalent professional qualification/relevant
degree and experience of working with young people at risk/substance
misuse.

experience of working with young people at risk. ?Knowledge of ACRA
an advantage.??
SALARY: Equivalent to HSE Project Worker/Outreach Worker scales.
